Before booking please make sure you fully read and understand our terms and conditions. If you are unsure of anything or have any questions, please contact us so we can clarify to avoid any misunderstandings. Failure to adhere to our terms and conditions may result in your booking being terminated and loss of your deposit or any payment already made.
Bookings and Payments
1.1 Your booking will be secured upon payment of a non-refundable deposit of 25% or payment in full. Any booking made less than 3 weeks in advance of your check in date must be paid in full at the time the booking is made.
1.2 On receipt of the deposit/payment, a booking confirmation will be sent to you by email containing the details of your stay, details of payments made and details of payments still due, if applicable. If you have not received your booking confirmation within 48hrs, please notify us by email as soon as possible.
1.3 Where a deposit has been paid, the full balance payment will be due 21 days in advance of your check in date and a reminder will be sent to you prior to this date by email. If you are unable to pay the balance by or on the stated due date, you will forfeit your deposit and your booking will be automatically cancelled.
1.4 A refundable security deposit of £200 per tent is required for each stay. This will be reserved on your card at time of check in. Please note we do not accept cash on site. The deposit will be refunded within 48hrs of your departure provided no damage has been sustained to any bell tent, it’s content or the site and provided the guests have behaved appropriately. If the deposit has not been refunded within 48 hrs and you believe it should have been, please notify us as soon as possible.
Cancellation
2.1 All cancellations must be notified in writing. If you cancel your stay more than 21 days before it is due to start, then your full payment minus deposit will be refunded within 14 days. If you cancel less than 21 days before your stay, we will retain 50% of your booking charge unless we manage to re-book the accommodation, in which case we will charge a £25 administration fee and refund the balance of your payment minus deposit. Any cancellations made within 14 days of arrival are non-refundable.
2.2 Wakestone & Wild Glamping reserve the right to cancel any booking at any point before or during a Guest’s stay for any reason (including but not limited to severe flooding, dangerous site conditions or adverse weather conditions). Provided the termination is not due to the guest being in breach of these terms they will be refunded for all of their holiday if it is prior to their booking or any remaining nights if it is during their booking.
2.3 In extreme weather conditions at the site, such as exceptional cold and snow, we will do all we reasonably can to warn guests and give guests the option to move dates (subject to availability) without additional charge.
2.4 Wakestone & Wild Glamping cannot accept responsibility for any loss, damage, or expense arising from industrial action, terrorist activity, adverse weather conditions or any other event outside the control of the company.
2.5 We strongly advise visitors to take out full holiday insurance to cover cancellations, public liability, personal belongings, personal injury, loss etc.
Alteration
3.1 Alterations to your booking can only be made more than 14 days prior to the check in date, after which time alterations will be treated as a cancellation. All alterations will incur a £20 administration fee and are subject to availability.
3.2 Differences in the total amount payable resulting from alterations will be refunded to you in the case of a decrease in price and paid by you in the case of increases in price.
Arrival and Departure
4.1 Check in is between 4pm-10pm. Guests must advise us of their estimated arrival time and telephone when they are half an hour from the glamping site. If you are likely to be later than 10pm please let us know so we can arrange for someone to meet you and show you to your tent. 4.2 Guests are required to vacate their tents by 10.30am on day of departure.
Pets
5.1 Pets are not permitted at Wakestone & Wild Glamping at any time.
Hen and Stag parties
6.1 Hen and Stag parties are not permitted, should we discover that a group is a Hen or Stag party, your booking will be terminated and all payments forfeit.
Complaints
7.1 In the event that you have any complaint about your stay, please notify Wakestone & Wild Glamping as soon as possible and we will use all reasonable endeavours to resolve the issue.
Site Security and Access
8.1 As a security measure the farm gate leading to the site will be locked at 10pm. Any returning guests to site must arrive before this time to access the glamping site or have made suitable arrangements with the management.
8.2 Any returning guests arriving after 10pm without prior arrangement may be charged £20 late access fee.
8.3 Wakestone and Wild Glamping reserve the right to enter a bell tent at any time to undertake essential maintenance or for inspection purposes
Conduct on site
9.1. Guests only have permission to access the glamping site itself, which is clearly marked. Guests do not have permission to access any other areas of the farm.
9.2 Guests agree to be considerate tenants and to take good care of the bell tents and facilities during their stay. Guests agree not to act in any way which would cause disturbance to other guests or be inappropriate for families on the site.
9.3 If there are any complaints about your behaviour you will be given one warning. If you continue then you will be asked to leave the site immediately and you will lose your damage deposit. No refund will be given in these circumstances.
9.4 Should any facilities, equipment, or items, be damaged wilfully, as a result of inappropriate usage or behaviour, as a direct result of failing to respond to instructions from Wakestone & Wild Glamping staff or due to your negligence you will be held responsible for the cost of repair or replacement of that item.
9.5 By coming to Wakestone & Wild Glamping you agree to be responsible for your children and any children in your charge, your own welfare and to take all reasonable precautions against personal injury, injury to others and damage to the facilities.
9.6 Camping in Britain can mean dramatic variance in weather in a short period of time. Whilst we supply certain facilities and equipment, as described on the facilities page of our website, it is still camping and you are responsible for your own well being and comfort regarding appropriate clothing and footwear etc. It is better to bring extra layers and not use them than to be cold and miserable!
9.7 Please remove muddy shoes or boots before entering the Bell tents
Health and Safety
10.1 Fires on site are only permitted within the bbqs, fire pits as supplied or authorised by Wakestone & Wild Glamping and subject to environmental conditions.
10.2 We operate a strict NO SMOKING policy campsite and consider the habit antisocial behaviour to our future guests who do not want to stay in a campsite that smells like an ashtray. Anyone found smoking in site will first be given a verbal warning. Any subsequent infractions will suffer a £50 deduction from the security deposit. Please note that a smoking area is provided for guests just outside the campsite. Anyone found smoking or vaping inside a tent will result in immediate termination of occupancy and forfeiture of all payments. Any evidence of smoking on site after your stay - including smell - will result in complete loss of security deposit.
10.3 Do not leave fire pit/BBQ/Wood Burner unattended whilst lit.
10.4 Guests are responsible for the safety and security of their children at all times. Never leave children without adult supervision.
10.5 Please follow all instructions from staff involving safety around trees
10.6 Do not climb any tree on site. If items become lodged in a tree please inform a member of staff.
Liability
11.1 Wakestone & Wild Glamping accepts no liability for accident, loss of property or personal injury incurred during stay with us.
11.2 Use of the tents and any other facilities at Wakestone & Wild Glamping is the responsibility of the Guest and is done so at their own risk.
11.3 By making a booking, you confirm you acknowledge these Terms and Conditions and that you are aware of the risks, hazards, and dangers of personal injury by entering onto the site.
Breach of Terms and Conditions
12.1 If there is a breach of any of these conditions by the Guest or any of their party, Wakestone & Wild Glamping reserves the right to terminate your stay and ask you and the rest of your party to leave, without prejudice to any other rights specified in these Terms and Conditions.
12.2 Termination of your stay by either Wakestone & Wild Glamping, or you does not affect your statutory rights.
Disclaimer
Wakestone & Wild Glamping reserves the right to change this website, including prices and terms and conditions, without notice. We also reserve the right to refuse entry to the campsite, cancel bookings, or instruct people to leave the campsite for any reason (for example due to inappropriate or antisocial behaviour, dangerous weather or site conditions.) Any booking with Wakestone & Wild Glamping constitutes acceptance of our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
